Centerline Mediations

    Centerline Mediations is located in Southern California and is the business-practice name for Thomas M. Mannix’s mediation practice.  Tom is a former NASD (National Association of Securities Dealers) Dispute Resolution attorney who worked in their Los Angeles office.  After leaving the NASD (now called FINRA), he received his advanced law degree in Dispute Resolution from the Straus Institute at Pepperdine University's School of Law and further developed his mediation skills through the Los Angeles Superior Court.  To read more about Tom, go to his Background page listed on the website menu.

    Tom’s background in the securities industry, his mediation experience in various areas, and his business- economics, law, and dispute resolution degrees provide the requisite skills for mediating in the following areas:

• Investor-Broker Dealer Matters (also known as customer cases): Up to Two Hundred Fifty Thousand Dollars
• Customer-Business Conflicts
• Homeowner-Builder (Contractor-Subcontractor) Construction Disputes
• TRO (Temporary Restraining Orders) and Civil Harassment Trials

    He also has a special interest in matters involving senior citizens and/or in pro per parties (self-representation), and has valuable experience handling community-based and emotionally-charged disputes.

    Tom’s communication demeanor is conversational, and his mediation style is both facilitative and evaluative depending on the needs of the parties.   Historically, his mediation settlement rate is ninety percent.

Geographic Area

    Tom concentrates his practice area to Southern California, however at the parties’ request he will consider locations throughout California and the Southwest United States.
